YRD Open Day #3 – Paddle with Pride

Welcome to our third Open Day of the year!

YRD would not exist without a vibrant community, and it is more important we dedicate this Open Day to our Community, where we paddle with pride.

We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all members of our community, including those who identify as LGBTQ+. We believe in the importance of promoting diversity, inclusion, and acceptance, and strive to create a space where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

Anyone is welcome to come along to this Open Day, come along and have some fun on the water.

Do I have to fit enough to come and try?

We welcome anyone with any fitness level to come to the Open Day and learn about the sport. Our coaching team will improve your skills and support you through the journey.

Do I have to bring anything to the Open Day?

We would recommend you wear and bring:

• Sports gear and shoes that can get wet
• A change of clothes
• Towel
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen, sunglasses and a sports cap or beanie (be sun smart )

We will provide you:

• Paddle, and
• PFD (Personal Floatation Device)
